Aims and scope

Journal of Health, Population and Nutrition brings together research on all aspects of issues related to population, nutrition, and health. The journal will only consider human related studies, and does not publish research relating to animal, plant or in vitro studies.

The journal publishes articles across a broad range of topics including global health, maternal and child health, nutrition, common illnesses, and determinants of population health. As a global public health journal, we will only consider articles that have international relevancy and will only sparingly consider research based in one village/town.

The journal considers all aspects of global health, and includes but is not limited to, the following sections:

  • Health economics
  • Health systems
  • Infectious diseases
  • Maternal, newborn, and child health
  • Non-communicable diseases
  • Nutrition
  • Reproductive health and family planning
