Lower values are seen in:

 Asians (than Caucasians and Africans)

 Women (than Men)

 Less dominant hand

 Less educated people

 Less privileged/wealthy

 Sedentary activities

 Malnutrition

 Abdominal obesity

Associated with various diseases, hospitalizations, mortality, functional disabilities, and nutrition (See Box 2)
